In a significant move toward advancing sustainable development and bolstering support for local communities, CTG Asia-Africa Jordan Office officially inaugurated a solar water heating system at Ma’an Government Hospital. The launch event was held in the presence of Dr. Waleed Al-Rowwad, Director of Ma’an Government Hospital, and Dr. Mohammad Abu Atieh, Regional Manager MENA, marking a collaborative effort between the private sector and public health institutions to integrate clean energy technologies into essential services.
The newly installed system is designed to directly benefit more than 1,000 people, including patients and hospital staff, by providing a reliable and energy-efficient source of hot water. Beyond improving medical hygiene, the system is expected to have a measurable environmental impact, with projections indicating a reduction of approximately 100 tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually which aligns with national and global efforts to mitigate climate change and transition toward renewable energy sources. This is achieved through an estimated annual savings of 38,000 liters of diesel, translating to total financial savings of around 23,600 JOD per year.
This initiative marks a key milestone in CTG Asia-Africa sustained efforts to expand clean energy solutions across Jordan, while simultaneously reinforcing its commitment to strengthening local community support.
